The March GCF Club meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 7:15 in room 332 of the UC on the University campus. We will be there about 6:45 or so to begin setting up and taking memberships for the 2009 season. This will be a very big year for the Club as we will be finishing the projects up at Pattee Canyon and beginning other projects. We can use all the support we can get, and one of the best ways to support our Club is to become a member!! Club membership is one of the biggest ways that we raise money each year. You don't have to be top be a tournament player, or for that matter play competitively at all, just have a passion for the sport we all love and want to see it continue to florish here in Missoula to become a member. So if describes how you feel, please consider becoming a member of, or donate to, the Garden City Flyers for the 2009 season and help grow the sport of Disc Golf in Missoula!! Here is the agenda of things to be discussed: 1) Club membership for 2009 will be $20. Bag Tags will be available at the first Bag tag round on April 2nd and will cost $10 2) Election of Board Members for 2009. Officers to be elected will be President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. 3) Financial status of the Garden City Flyers and our non-profit status 4) New GCF website and online store 5) A review of planned and proposed projects for Pattee Canyon 6) Fundraising for the above mentioned projects and the formation of a Fundraising Commitee dedicated to raising the remaining money for them 7) Bob Wards Affiliate Program 8 Potential projects discussed by the Forest Service for Blue Mountain and Club involvement in them 9) Proposed Club activities for 2009 including tournaments, fundraisers, and community involvement projects 10) Possibilities for new course development 11) A call for volunteers for the Pattee Canyon recycling project and Disc Golf Live distributer 12) New GCF merchandise for 2009 13) Open discussion As our Club continues to grow and take on more responsibilities for course stewardship in the area, there will be more opportunities for more people to become directly involved with these projects.
