Broke a personal record at Blue Mtn yesterday, shooting a 45 (-9) from the blue tees. Dave of course shot ten down at the Zoo last year (he was actually really disappointed that he already had a tournament on June 6-7 this year) but on a little bit different (and substantially harder) course. I actually started with a double bogey 5 on hole 1...then got hot the rest of the way with birdies on 2,5,6,8,9, a chainout on 10, 12,13,14,15,17,18.
As far as I know, the "normal course" records up at Blue are:
Blues: -9, 45 (me)
Whites: -11, 43 (i think several people have shot this at one time or another).
Of course, casual rounds aren't all too "legit" but we rarely play the normal layout in tournaments so they are still interesting (to me at least).
I think the -11 from the whites will be broken by multiple people this year.
I can't wait until Pattee Canyon with 18 holes and 18 teepads is open for record setting (and breaking)!

What was so different about the first round from the blues last year?
Islands on 10 and 12, and then possibly alt pin location for 17?

looks like the first thing on Pattee's '09 schedule is some DOUBLES!!! '09 layout !!! (winners hold record.. I think we could get a hoard of peeps!!)

Had the best ace that wasn't today Pattee hole 10. Dead center at the orange tape, double chain basket but the damn thing fell out right back at me. Bogey on 13 but ended up at -11. Tied my best.
