So...anyone play the new course on the Blackfoot yet? Me and the dogs and maybe the kids are talking about heading up friday to check it out. Is it dog friendly? Is it a cool course? Does the river come into play? How's the barbeque?

cool!

Played it last sunday & been meaning to make a post.
The Kind Kanyon course up the Blackfoot is definitly legit!! A couple of holes up the hill to start then mostly flat with a few downhill holes mixed in. There are a handfull of really good holes out there! The course is well marked with orange paint to get you from basket to tee. The only issue with the course is that there are only 2 baskets & 16 painted trees for targets.

Not sure about dogs. The bbq smelled REALLY good when I was there, but didn't finish the round until after the kitchen had closed so didn't get to try it.

They are having a Fathers Day special this Sunday. Prime rib dinner with 3 sides & desert for $20. Get out there, play a new & fun course, & get some grub at the Kind Swine!!
While your there, let them know how much better the course would be with baskets!! Or at least posts...

IIRC, the signs they put up all over at Blue say they won't open until Father's Day. I couldn't figure out if it was private / pay-to-play or what...

Kind Kanyon

It is a private course that, for now atleast, is free to play and open to the public.

Saw quite a few people

Saw quite a few people playing the course on Sunday. Good to see!! As this is a new course, please do your part and toss downfall and debris off the fairways while your walking the course.

And that was some damm good prime rib they were serving for Father's Day, too!!!

Follow the orange dots

Eric squared, Sara, Cole, Garth and I played Kind Kanyon today.
turn left before the bridge at Johnsrud
Really fun course with a variety of shots.
9 baskets and the rest trees
#7 is for those of you who love #4 and #10 at blue
easy to find your way through
Just follow the orange dots
we spent some time looking for discs-found them all

Eric has requested that as we walk the fairways
that we pile downed wood into slash piles
off the fairways
then they'll burn them out over time
Rahn is getting Saturdays @ noon rounds going on
plus the dubs on Tuesday evenings
there will also be work parties throughout the season

The BBQ melts in your mouth-it's well worth the wait!

Kind Kanyon open?

Heard the few baskets were set up and people were playing the course. Anyone know if that's true? It's a nice alternative to the crowds at Blue.
