I have never seen Glo Wraiths. I would super LOVE to make it, but I think my revenue might be short.. so we'll see... might just show up, you never know
But either way, I WANT A GLO WRAITH! I will give D cash, regaurdless.. please save me a 175 gram, if possible(just in case I throw it ). THANKS!
Will do Bob-O. I saw the Cherry Hill discs today, they are nice. The stamp is simple so it doesn't leave you wondering what the heck you are looking at, I like it. The Wraiths and Rhynos are pretty sweet too.
Heard through the text-vine that D is in the lead by a stroke after round 1. I'll post any updates if I get 'em.
Apparently Chris Re tore up the second round to overtake D by a stroke or two. D ties for second. McCoy got super sick to his stomach, couldn't really play and finished out of the cash.
The tournament ran well. Cool discs in the players pack and CTP's for every division were a bonus. The front nine was mostly legit and the back nine was mostly a crap shoot. I had some good breaks in the first round on the back and absolutely nothing in the second round. I think I would have to play that course a lot more to figure out some of the distances and even then luck would be needed. I think with a little more thinning and t-pad flattening this would make a great venue for an AM tournament. I feel like I dodged a bullet ratings wise. We were flighted out mixed first round which didn't affect me but I saw some etiquette issues in some other flights. Anyway, thanks to all who worked to make the tournament happen. I had a lot of fun with the people in my flights and at tourney central after rounds.
Cherry Hill gets a bad name for being too easy of a course. While I feel it can be easy at times it can also yield poor rounds if your are not hitting the lines that are required. Cherry Hill challenges one's game in a different manner than what many are used to. I like the course because of that - good round or bad. The teeboxes are something that the club is working on with the city, the bad ones (5,6, and 10) will be taken care of first with the others coming later. I thought it was a great tourney and well run on relatively short notice from INWS coordination. I didn't mind my mixed first round and rather enjoyed the company, it was not my idea though. I am also pleased with my two highest rated rounds ever. I just hope I can come close to those sometime again this year. I will find out at either LCO or ZooTown, one of them will be my next tourney.
Ya, congrats Scott on shooting well. You had your best rounds, and I had my worst rated round ever,
I had a good group for the first round mix, but I still prefer to play within my division. Playing with your peers makes the most sense to me.
My putting has never been great, but it hasn't ever screwed me in a PDGA tournament like it did the second round. Sooooo many birdie ops thrown out the window.
Aside from the mixed groups, the tournament itself was run well.
