Please note that there will not be a Timberbeast Challenge in 2013 due to the State Championships being held up there. All the good times including the festival atmosphere in the park, music, and Discs Across the Kootenai from the Timberbeast Challenge will be a part of the State Championhips that will be held on Labor Day weekend. More info on that later.
We always have our 4th of July tourney here, and I was planning on that date, not the 6th. I have no idea when Groovin music fest will take place yet, so I would like to stick to the 4th for now if that's ok. I am sanctioning this year too. We will have a lunchtime band, many other events going on in the park, and fireworks and live music in the Town Center that evening. Very family friendly also!!! Games for kids, basketball tourneys, skate jams in our new concrete park, home run derby, 5k run, 10 k mountain bike, and more! But the disc golf tourney will be taking place during most of the other events, so while your family plays in the park, we throw discs. And then we can save Groovin for party time. Thanks! And happy new year to the new tourney dates! I think I can make the first 5 points series!
Changed in the post and on the calendar.
I would like to encourage all the TD's to get their sanctioning agreement with the PDGA done and turned in as soon as you are able! Getting it on the PDGA schedule this time of year really allows for out of staters to see the event and hopefully plan to attend. Don't worry about not being able to give the PDGA all the insurance and etc... details. You can take care of all that as your date gets closer.
Hey brian what is the process we need to go through to get our events sanctioned... do i just look it up on the pdga website.
Fill out the form at the link below. You will then need to pay for the sanctioning afterward. They will provide a link for that.
Thanks for posting that link. As you can see, there's really not a whole lot to do to sanction.
Be sure that as a TD you are a Certified Official. It is easy to become one! Simply request an exam with your sanctioning agreement - you get 1 free exam, additional exams can be purchased for $10. It is an open book exam, so it's pretty easy to pass. It's more of a tool to teach you how to look up rules rather than a test to determine your rules competency.
Great to see a few MT events already on the PDGA calander!
We would like to offer the GCF online registration service to anyone who would like to use it. Send me a PM if your I interested and we'll get things started.
Thanks for the coaching and guidance from you all..
For once, we have the MRO in the PDGA system early. Pre reg is available online at discgolfscene.com see MRO
More to come as we get near..
And btw just sanctioned Sward's Ranch today.
Edited the first post to show The Missoula Round-Up Bring yer Partner dubs event in Missoula Sept 14
This is a longs ways off, but I just received word today from Lubrecht Forest regarding cabin rental for The Benefit. There will be a fairly large convention going on there that weekend, which won't interfere with the tourney, but will interfere with cabin rentals. If you would like to rent a cabin at Lubrecht for the event, it would be a good idea to reserve it now or they will all be booked very soon for the convention. Contact Lubrecht Forest at 406 244 5524 or through their website at http://www.cfc.umt.edu/Lubrecht/ for more info
Current point series have been posted, find the link in the left navigation bar.
