Well, if everything is

Well, if everything is frozen in the morning, there should be no problem getting to the base of the course.

I barely made it up a couple parts of slick road late in the day.

Campers are better to be in the Red Mountain Camp Ground. It's nice and dry there.

The last bit of uphill road to get to the upper camping/parking spot was too much slippery for my front wheel drive, and I didn't want to start making "runs" at the hill.. for fear of marking up the hillside, and deepening the ruts. So, if you find it is hard to get up, please don't push it. Just park around the lower camping/parking area.. and hoof it up that last bit of road, or catch a ride with someone in fwd.

But like we have been saying, the early morning road should be hard packed enough to make all travel smooth.

some pics of the way up there today coming soon.

Swards Ranch Amazing

Thanks to all of you guys who put this one on. Like Jarod said, thanks again to all who spread out the baskets. Huge thanks to the Sward family for sharing their unbelievable property with us.
Though there was 5 inches of snow when we got there on Friday, it melted off through the first round making the second round a lot better for traction. In my division, Masters, Rick, who had a 5 stroke lead on the group, had a tough time holding off Doc's even par 54 to hold on for a one stroke victory. That left Esteban Tolito and myself to battle for 3rd which I held onto, barely.
As was told earlier, Congrats to Seth who lit up the first round with a round low score of 51, followed by Zyzta's 52 and CD a bit behind them with a 57. Second round CD tore it up with a New course record of 50, but that wasn't quite enough to steal the win from Seth as CD takes 2nd.
It was a huge bonus to be able to soak out some of the soreness in the "water of the gods", not to mention a few cold beers, and women in bikini's.
As tough as it was on me physically, I hope you guys can have the State Championships out there.
One last thing, Great job to Brandon, first tournament as a TD.

Awesome time for sure, in spite of the snow the sun was out and made for a perfect yet challenging day of DG! Another shout to Brandon for TD'n the event, the cash payout was kinda cool, had to feel pretty sweet in the AM fields to be grabbing $WARD$ CA$H!! Can't wait to do it again.

Echo the Shout out

Yes,
It was a great event because of many HDGC people doing key parts.
Which, the greatest part was done by Cary, for scouting and setting up what many people thought was a truly classic Montana DG course. Then Cary and Brandon, thanks for going out all day on Friday, in the snow, to drop all the baskets near and FAR! Thanks you guys. I know you really got blistered by that reflective sunshine that day.. but Everyone really appreciated your work.

Thanks to everyone who donated baskets, especially Jake Goodhue who contributed some serious #'s of baskets. Doc Watson, if that was your awning.. thank you. Levi Buckingham, thanks for spearheading the top-end Gifts for the raffle -from The Mystery Ranch. BC thanks for following up with sponsors like Play It Again Sports, and thinking ahead on the "to-do's" for Brandon and his assistant (me)! And Matt Muth for getting the Innova basket in-time for the event's raffle! Michelle (sp?) thanks so much for doing the quick calcs on the all those score cards, and keeping me on task to get those numbers on the boards!

And Brandon, way to keep it rolling on game day! And great job staying in touch with everyone leading up to game day!

If I missed anyone.. sorry, but thank you!
