Bohart Mini Series League: We had a small meeting last night at Rons house discussing our league this year and nailing down some things. It sounds like we might add another league of 18 so that we will be able to play two rounds on sundays instead of one (makes it more worth it for anyone coming in from out of town). We would like to get some input from out-of-towners on the layout you would prefer to play if you made the trip on sundays. So option 1 would be starting on the lower course and merging onto the upper course after hole 14 (lower) to hole 1 (upper) and then finishing out on the lower course (15-18). Then option 2 would be just playing two upper course rounds (which most of us prefer). Option 1 would be a little faster time-wise over option 2. Reminder: We are still not sure when Bohart will open the lower course w/ all the snow that they had this winter, in which case we will either be playing swards ranch or big horn ridge (big sky) until it does open. We should know more after Ron stops up at Bohart this morning. Thanks for any input!

Update: 2014 Bohart Ranch Mini Series

Update on the 2014 Bohart Mini Series: Starting this sunday @ 11:00 a.m. will be HDGC's first official sanctioned league rounds!!! We have two seperate rounds of 18 that will be sanctioned. We decided to do this so that anyone coming from out of town can get more than enough play out of bohart! The layout will probably not be determined until sat or sun, but we are hoping we will be able to play the lower course and the upper course. For those of you who can't play two rounds, you are more than welcome to play either/or.

Ron and I discussed it and it will be $5.00 per round of 18. So if you want two rounds it would be $15.00 total (thats with the bohart fee of $5). Anyone from out of town that wants to try and make it most of the sundays we will try and figure a good season pass price thats fair, and we will discuss that w/ the owner Chris. The regular Season passes run $75.00 / year. So out of the $5.00, $.50 goes to the PDGA and $4.50 will go to the club (which will mainly be a fundraiser for States this year and to pay back Ron and myself the $25.00 we paid for each round to be sanctioned) or we may just donate it Wink. There will be trophies at the end of the series. We would like to run it similar to how the points series is run. There will be a total of 20 sanctioned rounds( 10 days @ 2 rounds per day) and in order to have a chance for the trophy you must participate in at least 8 rounds. We will take your best 8 rounds and average them. We will nail the details down more by this weekend.

Here is the schedule for 2014 (subject to change if Bohart adds an event for biking, running, etc).

June 1st:
June 15th:
June 29th:
July 6th: (July 4th weekend, we will take votes on this day)
July 20th:
August 3rd: (Big sky points series event on saturday, we will hold leagues on sunday for those of you who want to stay over and play bohart!!) We could change the time for 9 or 10 a.m. sunday morning also.
August 10th:
August 17th:
August 31st:
September 7th:

Can't wait for more disc golf!! It has already been a great year for MT and its only going to get so much better! Any questions about the league or states please contact myself or Ron Pannesi?.

Bohart League Sun @ 10 a.m.

We will be starting league at 10 a.m. tomorrow sharp. We want to be starting groups right at 10, if you are coming in from out of town and don't think you can make it by 10 then text me early (no service at bohart) so I can have a group wait for you. We will more than likely start on the upper course first and then the lower course second round.

Bohart Mini Series #3 6/29

#3 of the Bohart Mini Series continues this sunday 6/29 starting at 10:00 a.m. The ace pot is at $48 currently, so should someone hit it this weekend it should be upwards of at least $60. AND all the new discatcher baskets are set up and ready to go on the lower course!!! I have a feeling an ace is bound to happen! Hoping for a 3rd straight league day with a good turnout. Also, its looking like a bluebird 80 degree day, BOOM!

Bohart Mini Series #4

Bohart Ranch Mini Series: We were going to have a discussion on whether we should hold league this sunday but it sounds like there should be enough players interested to make it worth it. Sawyer Bracy will you be showing up for sure to play bohart on sunday? Last week we had some requests to switch it up playing the lower course first, so this sunday I will not be attending but we will start at 10 a.m. starting on the lower course. No aces yet so the pot is at $72.00! Matt Noell and Jarren Golay we had some setbacks getting your scores up on PDGA so we will be working to get that up soon, thanks for your patience! Look forward to possibly having some of the course mowed also, should be looking decently dry by sunday.

2014 Bohart Mini Series #4

2014 Bohart Mini Series continues this sunday at 10:00 a.m. We will be starting on the lower course first, upper course second. I believe the ace pot is around $72. Its almost all the way dry on the course. Fee's for league play:
*Rated players who want their rounds rated:
$5.00 per round (18)
*Non-rated players
$2.50 per round (18)

Ace pot: $2.00

***An early reminder, the Bohart Mini Series will be held the sunday following #8 Big sky points series event. So come and practice the course that will be played for states 3 weeks later. All the money raised from the series is going towards MT States payouts. Free camping near bohart and lots of camping at big sky so lots of places to stay saturday night!***

Thanks guys!

Had a really fun time yesterday! Thanks for organizing. The course is looking, and playing, GREAT. The amount of work that has been done up there is inspirational. A big thanks to everyone who has pitched in. I am definitely hoping to get another round or two in before States!
