I donated some discs to the Energy 107.5 folf day this Sunday. They mentioned our club on-air and the DJ Aaron Traylor said when we need to advertise a tourney or event to come in and let him know and he would promote it.
so when I was at Blue sunday, there where several people anticipating energy 107.5 to be there giving out some discs. They had run an advertisement about it saying they would b there starting at 1pm. They never showed up, and some people seemed pretty bummed. Pretty whack to advertise something and not do it. 
They got scared of the weather. I'm not sure the discs were going to be free. What was stated on-air was that they received free discs for the event. I never heard them say they were giving the discs away for free. Most of the information was online. They posted the cancellation that afternoon. They are hoping for a warm dry weekend.

umm, well. Being in broadcast/publication, I would have thought they could have check the weather forecast and been informed since mid-week(maybe even monday) that rain/snow & cold was expected. (which actually didn't happen, was a great day for disc). I was not bothered in the least by 107.5 not being there, but figured since you donated discs, you might like to know there was a few upset people. I assume they were NOT handing the discs out, yet more likely hold a raffle for the folfers that showed up.
LOL...you know peeps get scared when they see it snowing when they wake up. They were hoping for warm weather. Should be set up for next week or so.
