I have a nice Orange 174 DX Viper and a 150 DX Viper...lol.
Org DX 174, rad! I'll take it...
CFR Viper sounds tasty! is it in the 170g+ range? what'cha want?
The 174 DX Orange Viper has been cleaned and is ready for inspection!
I thought I'd throw a little Missoula DG history on ya. 2004 Blue Mountain Bennie, Open division

Anybody recognize these names? A long time ago. And how things have changed.
Anhyzer can't see the names, due to some filtering action going on. What are they?
John Willard perhaps?

How much longer till the WR is broke again? or will it? anyone thinking of putting a DX Valk in the bag
it's only a matter of time... who's gonna do it? Avery? Lil' Wiggy? Scott-Dub?
At this point its not disc technology or even an insane thrower that is going to break the distance record. It depends solely on the weather during the official distance contest. The conditions on the day of that 820 foot throw were apparently near perfect. Huge winds, and very hot weather creating updrafts off the ground that kept pushing discs back up.
Keep in mind that on the same day before that 820 foot Valkyrie throw, someone had just shattered the previous distance record by tossing a DX Teebird 810 feet.
Avery has tossed DX Destroyers that would be world record distances, but not during the distance competitions. I'm sure others have, too. The conditions have to be amazing on the right day at the perfect time to beat 820 feet.

Good point... I'd be curious to see tailwind speed measurements from the moment of the official throw. Is there any attempt to 'standardize' the conditions of the throw during official contests?

- I'm betting on Nick Johnson
