Listen up guys, pre-ordering starts today for the Golf Mahal, so get me your name and your info if you really want one because I already have orders from people who saw them at the USDGC (which was sick by the way!). The Montana crew has been waiting long enough and I want you all to be at the top of the pre-order list. There will only be around 20 bags for the first production run, which starts in January, so don't wait.

I was really hoping to keep the cost down, but I made the bag that I felt needed to be made. It is the last bag you will ever need to buy, LITERALLY. I stand by my design and the Mystery Ranch, myself above all, stands by the craftsmanship of the bag, FOR LIFE. Honestly, we make the smallest margin on our day bags, and we will be lucky to make %20 on the bag, even at $285 (which I am aware is spendy). However, that means that it costs us almost $200 just to make. That means paying Montanans damn good wages and using the best material that exists on the market today. Believe me, Dana has been building backpacks for over 30 years and he doesn't take the whole lifetime guarantee thing lightly, nor does he believe in cutting corners to get the best price point, either in design or in materials. We make the best backpacks in the world, and when I set out to make this bag I was really worried about the cost being prohibitive. But Dana told me to make the bag that I believed in, the bag that needed to be made, and so, here it is. I have worked well over 100 hours on the design alone, gone through more than 6 prototypes, revised the current version over 10 times, and I am still making tweaks here and there. I am committed to making the best bag in the world because we are professional athletes playing at a professional level and we deserve professional equipment. No more lunch boxes stuffed with discs - we need GEAR! Every day we are legitimizing our sport in the public's eye both through larger payouts and growing numbers of players. Let's not be stopped by sub-par gear.

The newest version of the bag is posted on mysteryrants.com right at the top of the blog, so check it out. The only changes will be a slightly different look to the small side pockets and 2 compression straps off the bottom of the putter pocket for an umbrella/stool. The response at the USDGC was overwhelming as I had a lot of people wanting the bag (I sold everything I went with and could have sold a lot more!!!). It was amazing to see the sport in such a light - so many amazing players supported by a community that is growing exponentially.
