I'm not sure how this has not been a running thread but please post your favorite beers from all over. Domestic, Import, craft and small batch, home whatever you like. I like to go places and drink their local brews so lets see it.

First off, I do not classifiy Micro-brews/companies "domestic" ; yah yah.. I know where it's made, I just don't. so I have to break your categories down a tad more.. 1)Domestic, 2)MicroBrew, 3)Import, 4)Import Specialty, 5)Limited Batch or Home Brew.

  1. everyone already knows this one!! Laughing out loud Budweiser .. Im a sucker for Clydesdales, damn they're sweet!
  2. Bell's Oberon
  3. Amstel Light
  4. i've had some extremely excellent Belgium beers, but the names are lost
  5. ? I have only had a couple good home brews, names - again, lost

*-edit: just noticed I miss read the question, and then made my own.. heh, opps

How about "The Abyss" from Deschutes. Good stuff and hard to come by in this state. Wife bought me every bottle in Billings.

So what is it? Sounds dark and unfiltered?

Wordens had the Abyss when I went by last night. I was going to get a bottle but my wife talked me into the Kriek big beer from Big Sky. We haven't had it yet but plan on it for Christmas.

I'm checking this list and plan on trying all that have been noted. Not at once though..

It is an imperial stout. Big beer with heavy tones of Licorice and Molasses. It's also aged in oak barrels. Tasty Tasty Tasty and sits at 11%. Living out on the Western side of the state it might be more readily available but in four years we have only gotten twelve bottle in Billings.

Is that the Lewis and Clark brewery right across the street from Carol College? I had a really good fresh tasting IPA from there once. I can't remember the name though? I think they used nitro like Myrtle Street at the Kettlehouse.
