A little info on Spring Fling 2010, Saturday, April 17th, the opening event for the Montana Points Series! It will be run by the Air Fairways Disc Golf Club at Diamond X DGC, Co-TD'd by Seth White and Christian Dietrich, and title sponsored by DX DISC GOLF, a new disc golf company based in Billings. THANKS to DX DISC GOLF for making this event as sweet as it will be!
The event will be a one-day C-Tier, but it will surpass B-Tier cash requirements. We are making a serious push for am participation, including a low-cost division to try and get a bunch of first-time tourney players.
PLAYER PACKS: Ams will receive a tournament disc and a DX Disc Golf shirt. Pros will receive a Dx Disc Golf shirt.
AM PAYOUT: AMS will be paid out AT LEAST 200%.
PRO PAYOUT: PROS will be paid out deep and so fat as to be morbidly obese. Not sure exactly how much added cash we'll have at this point but it will be guaranteed to surpass expectations and pay fo' yo' gas if you tame the X!
Raffle: We will have a few crazy raffle prizes for sure. All raffle proceeds will go towards both Am and Pro purses.
With your entry fee, you also receive: Free Lunch on Saturday, Free Microbrew for 21+, and Free Camping for out-of-towners!
We are still looking for SPONSORS, both cash and schwag. Please contact Christian at (406-396-2993) or Seth (406-697-3562) if you can help sponsor the event!
ADDED BRONUS: SUPER SICK SIDE-EVENT SUNDAY!
In response to (very legitimate) concerns over driving time from far away, and in a further attempt to drive up first-time and AM participation, the event will be a one-day event, but not to worry we have some sick activities on Sunday for anyone who can stick around. The cost for Sunday will be $20, which will include entries into all three bonus events.
CASH AND PRIZES PUTTING CONTEST:
We will be having a sweet bracket-style putting contest with TOP 3 PAID OUT with cash and prizes.
CASH AND PRIZES LONG DRIVE: We will be having a long drive competition with the top 3 paid out w/ cash and prizes.
ADDED CASH DOUBLES: Most of the $20 entry will go into random-draw best-shot doubles, which will be paid out in an obese manner. The doubles will have a minimum of $100 added cash. The doubles course will include the infamous and legendary "Nightmare" hole!!!
Hope to see EVERYONE there! This one will be worth the drive so get your carpools in order and set aside the weekend!
Tournament flyer, pre-registration information, and more details to come!
Feel free to call Christian or Seth at the numbers listed above with any questions.
Any work days scheduled for the X? Let me know Christian or Seth, I would be glad to help where I can. Give me a shout. Mitch-690-6397

Can't wait! Had a Spring Fling meeting last night and the wheels are turning to make this one the best ever!

just fyi, from PDGA site you kinda get "dead ended" on where to pre-reg at (no info on "Tournament Website" (airfairways.com) on where to go) - not sure it matters much, since pretty much every player attending most likely already knows about the forums here...
Pretty sweet tourney logo for the Spring Fling. I'm guessing Sirianni was behind it.
Anybody else follow the link and see Seth White's info replaced with climo's??? Weird!!!

I can't wait to get there. There will be more than one master playing in every event this year, and I'm not talking about Frickle.
