I like how they combine metal with classical. You can tell they have roots in playing the streets by the way they play the crowd. Oh yeah, and I am pretty much in love with Gabriela.

Mastodon are pretty sweet. I

Mastodon are pretty sweet. I love the mini-documentary on Blood Mountain: "One day, we're gonna be climbing a mountain, and we're gonna find that crystal skull."

Sunset Rubdown

Sunset Rubdown. On this song, I like how they combine rock with glockenspiel, and Carribean sea shanties.

Here's the same song with better quality sound on the vocals, but I don't think the video work or performance is as good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MREw-cq9vw&feature=related

It all sounds stupid when you put it in words, but the music is unimpeachable.

Lyle, are you kidding me with

Lyle, are you kidding me with the "The world is full of bastards, the number increasing rapidly the further one gets from Spokane, Washington" quote on a MISSOULA-based website? You know that's from A River Runs Through It and it was about Missoula, right? And for the record, Spokane, while only 200 miles away from the non-bastard capital, and therefore substantially bereft of bastards, is still much more heavily bastardized than the galactic epicenter of non-bastard activity.

Haha, I was waiting for

Haha, I was waiting for someone to call me out on that.

I just watched A River Runs Through It on Hulu and I knew someone on here would bite :D My bait doesn't come in a Hills coffee can, but in a forum signature.

“Best of Times” is the second single from the new Sage Francis album, LI(F)E. Co-written by Sage and French composer Yann Tiersen, who is best known for the Amelie soundtrack, with Brian Deck, who has worked with Iron & Wine and Modest Mouse, tackling production duties. “Best of Times” is an emotionally driven track that builds from minimalist ambient to a soaring live band atmosphere with Francis delivering autobiographical rhymes.
