Check out the Spiritwood web site for details as well a some pix from the Ice Bowl which raised 172 pounds of food and $750 in cash for Haven House in Hamilton. They were well pleased and send their heartfelt thank yous to all you great disc golfers!
Skins is a fun time. Hope to see you there.
Nick
The course is in very good shape and playing tough. We will not have water. And hopefully no new snow. Ground is dry.
We played the ditch on #5 as active water OB for the Ice Bowl and will do the same this time. The layup area on 5 will also be out of bounds. (You may fly over the out of bounds.)
WE hope to move the tee for 18 and the pin for 17 before the tourney.
Lots of wood to get in etc...
Not sure the status of the beer sponsorship so it may be a BYOB. Stay tuned...
The cure for spring fever to be sure!
How did the storm effect the course? Snow, mud, ice? Can't wait for this!
Also, I just read your last post a little closer. Are you saying that the area to the right of the ditch on 5 is gonna be OB? That definitely makes that hole more interesting
Bob mentioned the total amount for skins and included the "seed" round. We have never played "skins" in the seed round. Last year we gave away a seed round prize to inhibit sandbagging. What can I say? Play with honor and honesty and have fun.
However, as stated, a flight or a group of players may decide to play for $5, $10, or $20 per skin...it is up to your pocketbook/confidence status. We can make another division if the pros or whomever want to raise the stakes.
The light dusting of snow is gone now the course is still in good shape with just a couple of muddy boxes. Supposed to get another front through on Sat. But remember that "It is always nicer at Spiritwood, than where ever you are!"
Peace,
N
Thanks for the tourney, Nick! It truly is always nicer at Spiritwood than wherever you are.
Looking forward to tourney in June and am hopeful to play some music next time.
I put a thread in Lost and Found, but thought I'd throw this out here too: lost a lilac / light-purple DX Roc on hole A or B, and would love to have it back. If not, anyone know of the perfect disc to replicate a semi-beat-up DX Roc -- ??

Awesome! Definitely be showing up for this again this year! I just hope that our seed round grouping doesn't get tossed aside like it did last year. Other than that it was a great time last year! How's the course playing right now Nick?
