The first All Member Meeting of the GCF Club for 2010 will be held on Thursday,April 1st, in room SS362 on the third floor of the Social Sciences Building on the U of M campus. We will be there at about 6:45 to start taking memberships. The meeting will convene at 7:00. It should last about an hour and a half or so.
This will be a very big year for the Club as we will be finishing the projects up at Pattee Canyon and beginning other projects at Blue Mountain and elsewhere. We can use all the support we can get, and one of the best ways to support our Club is to become a member!! Club membership is one of the biggest ways that we raise money each year. You don't have to be a top tournament player, or for that matter play competitively at all, just have a passion for the sport we all love and want to see continue to florish here in Missoula to become a member. So if describes how you feel, please consider becoming a member of, or donate to, the Garden City Flyers for the 2009 season and help grow the sport of Disc Golf in Missoula!!
As our Club continues to grow and take on more responsibilities for course stewardship in the area, there will be more opportunities for more people to become directly involved with these projects. If you would like to become more involved, please consider running for office or volunteering for one of the volunteer positions. If you would prefer something less formal, there will be several work days scheduled for the spring and summer, consider helping out in that capacity.
Club membership for 2010 will be $20. Bag Tags will be available at on a first come basis and will cost $10
Items on the agenda include, but are not limited to:
1) Ratification of ammended GCF Club bylaws
2) Election of Board Members for 2009. Officers to be elected will be President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Spring Break calls. Though I will get to play some golf in the Austin area. My sister lives down there right across the road from Steeplechase DGC and I hear Circle C is about 30 minutes from there. The weekend before I get there is AM World Doubles and the State Championship is the weekend I'm there though its in Houston. Kinda struck out on those two but oh well.
Big year in and around golf. I hope for a big turn out and some new faces.
