I don't think $10,000 for a single order is that unreasonable. If a business wanted to do a one time huge order for a season it would be over a 1000 discs but not unheard of if you wanted that stock to last for as long as possible before re-ordering. I always help my dad with all of his ordering and he orders far more Innova than anything. I have written up orders in the 750 disc range for his little ol' disc golf store in little ol' Post Falls, ID. I can only imagine what some other retailers are getting. I am sure glad I don't have to pay those bills though. I guess if you want the best selection around it comes at a cost.

Went in yesterday....lots of discs, LOTS of BEASTS, but no Katanas, unfortunately. Would sure like to get a hold of a few of those in Star. Any chance you and Hugh could order some of those, Bob?

I usually push Chad Ward (he does our INNOVA buying) to get the new discs on the market, but didn't this year. He did not have the 2010 catalog in time (tisk, tisk INNOVA!) to see the new stuff (Dart, Mako, Katana(pro/star), San Marino Star ROC, R-Pro ROC, and R-Pro plastic) for out spring order. I know you can go online to see it, but apparently he didn't.
I will see what I can do about getting some of these, and might also try to carry a selection of the DiscMania line... don't hold your breath though. Hoping he will fork over the buying duties to me soon and then I'll be ordering all the new stuff and will stop ordering 598 DX Beasts.. 
That in mind, I think the CLUB should try to focus on getting these molds when ordering our discs to keep the GCF club discs unique and not available at every disc shop. IMO
Last I heard Innova was completely sold out of all of their CFR Champion and STAR Katanas. My dad tried to re-order some the other day and was not able to. Would imagine that would be the case all over.

CD...I was a sponsored player....unfortunately I was on the Amateur team not the pro...lol....I need to get my rating above 960 to make the pro team.
As for my inferior non-Gateway discs I still have a crap load if anyone is interested. I am selling them between $5 and $12. Some are brand new....some are rare.
The Pro Katana is a nice inferior disc. It surprised even me being from that one company who lost to Gateway Disc Sports at the USDGC's...lol. I bought it at Wholesale Sports...the old Sportsman's Warehouse.
I check their east and west coast stock regularly. I like how the east coast separates out their Echo STAR plastic. I am jealous though because Innova doesn't have the Echo STAR TeeBirds in blanks so we couldn't get our club TeeBirds to be Echo STAR specifically.
You can't really say that Innova lost to GDS at the USDGC because Nikko has pretty much a split bag between the two, ha ha
innova got 2, 3, 6, 7, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12...etc
gateway got 1, 12, 23, 49, 57.
