Yeah Chris. Keep it going now.
Sounds like the last rounds got a lil messed up to due snow and travel conditions....
Complete insanity down here. weather was totally crazy...got to Fort Collins early enough on Friday to play the courses, but it was an absolute downpour in town and a blizzard in the mountains. There was a full 18'' of snow on the course on saturday morning, super windy, still snowing...roads were closed, people dropping out, not even really playable conditions...as late as the player's meeting they were discussing calling off the saturday rounds or playing them elsewhere, but then decided on playing only one round. Then--surprise!--after the first one the TD changed his mind after some people asked to keep playing, despite the complete ridiculousness. Lost discs vanishing into the snow left and right. I didn't want to play the second one in the snow, it was completely ridiculous (did i mention that), but I ended up having my only good round of the tourney then. the ratings are NOT correct as is, because the am and pro fields played different courses on saturday and sunday. I would imagine that the first two rounds might go up a bit and the second two down a bit, but it's really tough to say. anyways, started out the day four back from KC Terry (fort collins local, super nice guy) and caught him and beat the rest of the lead card during the first round, but got passed up by mitch sonderfan from the second card. So, one back going into the last round, and barely ahead of a huge mass of people. I took the lead early in the last round, even after two spit-throughs on my first three holes (couldn't believe it, what a way to start, yuck!) but had some birdies as well...turns out that those two spit-throughs were the margin I lost by. But anyways, mid-round I had three nightmare bogeys in a row and relinquished the lead for good. I managed to make it a bit interesting near the end...Mitch had me by three going into the last 5 holes, but I birdied a 500' anhyzer hole with a big drive and 70' putt to pull within two, then got another birdie to get to one back with three to go. I missed a 35 footer into a headwind on hole 16, and was still one back going into hole 17. I drove to 20 feet right, and Mitch drove 45 long and behind a tree. Things were looking OK! But then, Mitch absolutely jammed his 45 footer right into a heavy wind and that was pretty much it, because hole 18 is all but a guaranteed 3 for anyone with 400+ distance. I promptly missed my 20 footer chains left in a right-to-left wind, but at that point it really didn't matter since Mitch had it pretty much locked up. KC actually bogeyed 18 to let me get a piece of second, he was on the second card so I didn't know he was having a hot round until I saw him on the 18th hole. Payout was not as good as Spring Fling despite a 40 person open field, go Montana events! I had DOGS in two of my rounds as well...the tournament was surprisingly casual for a tourney that I would have expected to be more of a prestigious event... It was still lots of fun, just not exactly what we were expecting. The weather was just so crazy...saturday at red feather was completely out of control, which one might expect for a course at 8500' in April (as was noted by more than a few). Today was nicer, but still extremely windy at Edora...I would expect to shoot 6-8 down minimum on a decent round but the wind made it way, way harder. But yeah, what insane weather...the only reason I'm even online is because we got stuck in a blizzard on the way back to montana. See everyone at Swards Ranch...looking forward to it!

Wow. I've never even seen dogs at North Idaho PDGA events, home of the shirtless barbarians.
Great job CD, sounds like insane MT> style conditions to play in. See ya at SWARDS holmes!
Congrats, way to shoot! $WARD$
& H2O 'O 'da Gods
Wish you could have won it!!! Yep, pay-outs here are pretty weak..
C U Later,
