The Lizard Range tourney, held in beautiful Fernie BC, will be held on June 26th. This year, for the first time, the Pro divisions will be sanctioned. More info and pre-reg can be found at http://ferniediscgolf.com/ Pre-reg is highly recommended!!! You don't have to pay when you pre-reg, but if you are going to go to this, pre-reg so they can get a good count on lunches and etc... Included in the player's packs are one of the prettiest discs I've ever seen! Worth the price of admission just for that.

This is one of my top 3 favorite tourneys every year in terms of fun!! Serge really puts on a good time, the people in Fernie are really friendly, and the views from all over the course in every direction are truly awesome!! Definitly worth the trip to Fernie, which is just across the border above Eureka.

If you still don't have your passport, or enhanced drivers license if you don't live in MT, you may still have time to get it before this event, but you may have to pay a little extra to have it expedited. It's worth it to get your passport!! Don't forget about the Lethbridge tourney on Labor Day weekend, too!! Also just across the border and only a couple of hours from Helena...

Waaaaay to much fun

Fernie was a blast!!!! Serge always puts on a great time and this year topped them all! New DisCatcher Pros really dressed up the course and added a little more difficulty to the back 9 so the course played a stroke or two more difficult than in years past, but still every bit as beautiful as ever! This year's discs might be the prettiest one, yet, too!

Kinda cool side story - the guy who won the tourney happened to be in the area on his honeymoon (he's from PA) and it turns out I played a round and hung out with him at World's last year. Small world.

All the open divisions results can be found at http://www.pdga.com/tournament-results?TournID=10646&year=2010&include_r...

The putting contest at El Guapo's (sp?) - a burrito shop in town that is also a skate shop (Edge of the World) - is one of the most fun post event events that I've ever been to. They fence off the parking lot, have beer and burito specials, and hold a putting contest with a full view of the Lizard Range mtns in the background following the awards ceremony. Proud to say that I redeemed my poor tourney play by winning a SWEET mini basket for winning the putting contest. Not really sure what kind it is, but do know that it came from Innova. It is a lot beefier, and prettier, than their mini sports and catches better, too.

Get your passport and make this event next year!! You'll be glad you did!

great honeymoon

kudos, bb, on the putting victory. sounds like a very cool weekend. good for the fellow on his honeymoon! I am glad he won, because he is going to catch crap for that move for the next forty years! ("Yeah, but honey, you took off to a dg tournament on our honeymoon." "Yes, but I won!")
