In preparation for the opening of Pattee Canyon for the 2010 season, there will be 2 work nites next week.
Tuesday, June 29th 6:45PM - Tee pad leveling and general course maintenance. We'll be smoothing out the ground under the tee pads, deliniating a couple of trails, and just general cleaning of the course.
Wednesday, June 30th 6:45PM - Finishing the above projects and ONLY IF THE ABOVE PROJECTS ARE COMPLETE, re-install the baskets. We have official approval to install the baskets late Wednesday evening, provided all the other projects are complete, so that they are in place for the July 1 opening.
just wanted top remind everyone of the works tomorrow and wednesday. Please come out and give us a hand to ensure a 7/1 opening date, if you can...
Anyone and everyone is welcome to come out and help, thanks.
Hoping for a good turnout tomorrow nite. Bring shovels, rakes, gloves, and a garbage bag as we will be focusing on leveling out the pads and general clean-up tomorrow.
My girlfriend and I will be making it to both of them hopefully, depending on how she feels after tomorrow's work party, ha ha.
Thanks Andrew, Jared, Dave S., Billy, Amanda and of course B² we got all but 4 or 5 tee pads fixed up.
a couple of my favorite excuses: "Its gonna be hot out" Double Dizzle, and they 'needed' Soy Sauce at work.
Really hope to have a better turnout tonight, if you can bring a handtruck/dolly, please do - makes it go a lot faster.
I was kind of disappointed that more people didn't show up. Oh well, got all but a few holes like Bob said. Probably would have gotten a couple more done had we not screwed around with 18 so much, lol. Hopefully we will see a few more people up there tonight for basket installation!
what a sad, small turn out... Big thanks to those who actually showed up- Billy, Jared, Dave S., B²
oh, and David D.....
Yeah, backbone of the Flyers! Of the Missoula DG scene! You guys rock. Thank you for showing up to get the course ready for the rest of us.
I would have been there both days, but I had to eat the grapes my wife was peeling.
Thanks to all who made it up to Pattee for the last 2 nites!! I think Bob mentioned all the names, it was great to have such a motivated crew on both nites! We were able to smooth out most of the tee pads Tuesday nite and were able to get all the baskets in last nite so that it is ready for play TODAY.
It saddens me a little to see posts talking about there not being a lot of people at the work days. To put it into perspective, the last 2 years there has been a total of four - 4 - people who took the baskets down for the winter (thanks Ben, Dave S, and Jon G!!), so I would say that the size of the work crews the last couple of nites was great!! (but a few more people next time wouldn't hurt)
