The GCF Club will once again be pairing up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Missoula to hold a Match Activity at Pattee Canyon on Sept 16th to expose the "littles" to the fun of DG and we could use your help. In the past, we have had enough used discs in the Club box to donate so that every person participating in the event could have a disc of his/her own to use and keep. With all the events that we have donated used discs to this year we are running low on used discs for this event. So if you have 1, or a few, used discs that would be suitable for kids ages 8 - ?? to use please bring them to Tags either this week or the next. They already have 12 pairs (24 people) signed up and are expecting more so please help us if you can. And Thanks in advance for helping us help kids learn the to play DG!!!
Also, if your interested in helping out with this event and your good with kids, send me a PM. We could use 2 or 3 more people.
Just received word that there will be around 55 people at tomorrow's BBBS GCF Match Activity tomorrow nite. We would like to keep the groups somewhat small, so if your good with kids and want to help out the next generation of DG'ers and earn some karma points that can be redeemed at your next tourney, meet us at Pattee tomorrow (Thursday) nite by 5:15.
FYI, Tags have been moved to Blue Mtn. tomorrow nite.

Thanks to everyone (D, Elder Shane, Evan, Jered, Heather, Drew, Paul, and Billy) who helped out with this event! I think it was a great success! The weather scared a few people away, but there was still about 30 people (15 kids) there and several of the "littles" came away VERY excited about DG.
Look for a couple of these types of activities next year.
This event is this Thursday nite and we could still use a couple more people to help out. We will be giving a very quick and simple clinic then playing most of a round. We need Club members to walk with each group to give tips and advice and also to instruct them on etiquette and safety issues. They already have over 40 people confirmed and possibly more showing up day of. This more than doubles the turnout at the last event we did with them 2 years ago.
Give me a call if you can help out. It starts at 5:30 and will end about 7:30 or so. Please don't PM me as I probably won't get it in time.
Still could use a few more kid friendly discs, too.
