Christian: Stafford Lake
- I'm very happy to report that I'll be playing the Stafford Lake Weekly this saturday. I've never seen the course, but from the pictures online it looks super duper sweet. I don't have my discs down here but a friend I met at the USDGC, John Child, will hopefully have some extras. I'll report back on the course!
Christian:
- Stafford Lake was totally awesome today! My partner and I shot 49 on the doubles round, not good enough to take 3rd out of the 9 or 10 doubles teams that were randomly picked from "A" and "B" pools (Pro/Am doubles essentially). The course is awesome, and it was totally green here at the end of december...50 degrees and misty. Great people and a great brewery afterwards....they had some IPAs that were so hoppy I wasn't even sure I liked them, which hasn't ever happened before. Apparently they add hop oil as well as dry hopping--9.5% or something crazy. I will definitely make a tourney here someday...there are like 5 pin positions and a few tees for every hole. The rangers mow the course for them and "love disc golfers" according to the great people I got to play with. Totally sweet! Lots of talent and enthusiasm around here...they drew about 20-25 people for the round, and apparently this area isn't near as much of a hotbed as the sacramento, tahoe, and santa cruz areas in Nor Cal. There were people who had heard of Blue Mountain and the X and I was talking plenty of Montana golf. Check out pictures of the course at:

See y'all soon! I'm back right before the new years...
